Deep clean or regular clean: which should you choose?

2026 06 20·5 min read

Two different kinds of cleaning, and one simple rule for combining them to your benefit.

Booking a clean for the first time raises a natural question: deep or regular? They aren’t rivals — they’re two different tools for the same goal, a clean home. Here’s how to pick the right one.

What a deep clean is

A deep clean is a thorough top-to-bottom refresh down to the smallest detail: hard-to-reach spots, limescale, windows, tile grout, the tops of cupboards and the corners you never get to day to day. It clears what has built up over weeks or months and brings the home back to its best.

What a regular clean is

Regular, or maintenance, cleaning is steady upkeep on your schedule: weekly, fortnightly or monthly. It covers the key everyday zones and keeps grime from accumulating. On its own it doesn’t replace a deep clean, but it makes a deep clean necessary far less often.

When to choose which

A deep clean is worth choosing after a renovation, before or after the holidays, at the turn of a season, or when the home hasn’t had a thorough clean in a long time. A regular clean is for keeping the home consistently tidy without your effort. Most often, the best answer is both.

The simple rule for combining them

Start with a deep clean to bring the home to its best, then keep it there with regular visits. That way you pay less over time and never slip back to the point where cleaning becomes a big, postponed job.

Not sure which suits your home? Choose in the booking window — you’ll see the price and time at once, and if you have questions, we’re glad to advise.
